Life Touch Ministries was organized in the summer of 2003 with a small group of dedicated believers gathering in the living room of its founder and pastor, Elder Herman Love. What began as a simple vision from God soon grew into a thriving ministry committed to impacting lives through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

     On October 12, 2003, the church held its first official worship service in Ypsilanti, Michigan. At that time, the ministry was known as Greater Joy Temple Church of God in Christ. As God continued to shape and direct the ministry, a season of transition occurred in 2005, resulting in the church being renamed Greater Calvary Worship Center.

 

    Under the leadership of Pastor Love, Greater Calvary Worship Center experienced tremendous growth and expansion. In 2010, the ministry relocated to Detroit, Michigan, where it continued to serve the community and spread the message of hope and salvation. After a brief period in Detroit, the church returned to Ypsilanti, Michigan, and continued to flourish.

 

     In 2012, after attending a revival service, Pastor Love entered a season of prayer and seeking God's direction for the future of the ministry. Believing God was calling the church to a fresh vision and renewed purpose, he sought the Lord for a ministry reboot and a name that would clearly communicate the church's mission. During that time, he heard the words: "Life Touch, your life has just been touched by our ministry." Out of that divine inspiration, Life Touch Ministries was birthed in 2013.

 

     With a renewed vision and identity, Life Touch Ministries once again experienced significant growth as people were drawn to its message of transformation, healing, and purpose.

 

     In 2020, the world faced the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Millions of lives were affected, businesses were forced to close, and churches were required to temporarily suspend in-person services. During this season, Life Touch Ministries embraced the challenge by expanding its digital outreach and strengthening its online ministry through Facebook Live and YouTube services.

 

     As a result, the ministry's reach extended far beyond Michigan. Through its virtual church platform, Life Touch Ministries welcomed members and supporters from Kentucky, Texas, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and Pakistan, demonstrating that ministry has no geographical boundaries when empowered by God.

 

     In 2024, Life Touch Ministries relocated from Ypsilanti, Michigan, to its current location in Redford Township, Michigan. The following year marked another milestone in the ministry's history. In 2025, Life Touch Ministries expanded its reach into Flint, Michigan, establishing Greater Victory Cathedral Church as a new ministry location.Today, with one mission and two locations, Life Touch Ministries continues to faithfully serve both the spiritual and natural needs of people. Through worship, discipleship, outreach, and community engagement, the ministry remains committed to introducing people to Jesus Christ, transforming lives through the power of God's Word, and helping individuals discover their God-given purpose.
